The Acupuncture Board has requested an Attorney General's opinion as to whether physical therapists may perform dry needling and any other invasive procedures. Comment period ended March 28, 2010. The Physical Therapy Board and the American Physical Therapy Association submitted information in support of invasive procedures to include dry needling, EMG's, wound care, etc. When the Opinion is forthcoming the Board will make an announcement to its licensees and the general public.
