Network Of Care
The Network of Care (NOC) is an information website that offers a listing of local services, library of mental health articles, contact information for support and advocacy organizations and links to their websites, relevant news items from across the U.S., and a personal folder/WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) feature. The goal of NOC is to provide simple and fast access to information for persons with mental illness, caregivers, and service providers. Thus, NOC will help empower consumers to make informed decisions about their own treatment.
Maryland has been divided into 11 regions that offer the most rational groupings of available services for all stakeholders; separate NOC websites are being established for each region. Eleven county mental health authorities have been chosen to administer NOC for these regions. NOC websites went “live” in Worcester and Anne Arundel counties earlier this year.
