Wellness and Prevention Workgroup
Healthiest Maryland is a statewide movement to create a culture of wellness-an environment that makes the healthiest choice easy. The three components of Healthiest Maryland are: Healthiest Maryland Businesses, Healthiest Maryland Communities, and Healthiest Maryland Schools. Each component includes a peer-to-peer recruitment campaign to engage leadership to complete an organizational self-assessment, and to publicly declare a commitment to implement policies as the cornerstones of the Healthiest Maryland initiative. Healthiest Maryland offers tools and programs to help design a plan that is right for each organization, as well as promotes policy and environmental changes that create a healthy Maryland. This movement is part of the national Million Hearts campaign.
