Welcome to the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs!

The Office of Equal Opportunity Programs (OEOP) strives to ensure a non-discriminatory workplace for DHMH employees and job applicants as well as the non-discriminatory delivery of services, benefits, and activities provided by or funded by DHMH.  This is per federal and state law and Governor’s Executive Order.  OEOP is comprised of the Employment Equity Unit (EEU), the Equal Access Compliance Unit (EACU) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator.  Brief descriptions of those programs are as follows.

EEU works to ensure a non-discriminatory workplace by addressing concerns and complaints regarding Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) from DHMH employees and job applicants.  EEU also provides related training. For more information, click the EEU link on this page.

EACU works to ensure that services, benefits, and activities provided by DHMH or funded by DHMH are provided in a non-discriminatory manner.  This includes the adequate provision of services to individuals with Limited English Proficiency (LEP).  EACU also provides related training.  For more information, click the EACU link on this page.

The ADA Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with the ADA.  This involves addressing relevant issues and concerns regarding individuals with disabilities.  For more information, click the ADA link on this page.
