SALARY:                  $41,074 - $65,568 (Grade 16)

DESCRIPTION:       The Quality Manager organizes, directs, and coordinates Performance Improvement Programs within the Western Maryland Hospital Center, including but not limited to Comprehensive Care Program, Specialty Hospital Program, Brain Injury Program and Renal Dialysis Program.  The Director collects, aggregates, and presents Quality and Performance Improvement data to the Governing Body and Quality Council; and ensures Quality and Performance Improvement Programs within the various divisions and departments of Western Maryland Hospital Center are operating in compliance with the various regulatory and accreditation agencies, including the Joint Commission, OHCQ, CARF, CMS, and the Kidney Commission.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
Education:     Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work,
psychology, education, counseling, or a related field.
Experience:   Six years professional experience in health services, three of which must have been professional clinical or administrative services in areas other than Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities or Addictions, and two years of which must have been at the managerial or supervisory level.
 
Notes:  
1.      Applicants may substitute a master’s or Doctoral degree in a health or human services field for up to two years of the required general experience.
2.      A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus an additional year of professional experience in health services may be substituted for the specific degree.
