The Office of the CIO administers all of the Divisions within the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and is directly responsible for IT planning and operations, systems development, IT governance and management, and the security of enterprise nformation systems. 

The CIO serves as the CIO/Director of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) Office of Information Technology (OIT). 

The CIO sets the agency technical vision, advises agency Executive Management, and has oversight and leadership of all technology related services and solutions within the Department’s $7B budget. This leadership includes the matching of business strategies and processes with the appropriate technologies to support synergy, reduce costs, and maximize services to our employees and the public.
